Blood Knight - Custom Built 72V Surron

Blood Knight - Custom Built 72V Surron

Introduction

Behold the latest creation from Ridepanther's custom Surron workshop hailing from Armadale, Melbourne. The "Blood Knight" boasts performance modifications from the ground up, featuring a powerful 72V EBMX powertrain unleashing 16kW of brutal power at the twist of the throttle.

Every touch-point on this bike has been carefully considered to promote confidence in the rider as they wrestle to keep power on the ground.

Powertrain

At the heart of this build sits an EBMX X9000 controller paired with a 72V 42AH battery. This combination unlocks huge power potential while maintaining smooth and responsive throttle control. The current ceiling for maximum power on this build would be the stock motor, which if replaced could unlock up to 30kW on the same setup.

Power System Overview

Component Model Output Description

Suspension

Proper suspension handling is one of the most important parts of any build rolling out of our shop. Since we've designed this bike to handle tough trail riding and single track, we've chosen premium components like the Marzocchi Bomber 58s and RFloxa rear shock to handle uncertain terrains when riding.
Together they create a balanced platform that absorbs impacts effortlessly while maintaining predictable front-end handling and traction.

Component overview

  • RFloxa RAB53RV rear shock (450lbs) with rebound and compression adjustment

  • Marzocchi Bomber 58 front fork

Chassis

The strength and integrity of any build begins at its core, the chassis. We've effectively strengthened the overall structure of this build with titanium hardware, real carbon fibre components, reinforced linkages and bracing components.

Every upgrade serves a purpose, improving rigidity, control and reliability without unnecessary weight.

Component overview

  • Warp9 titanium hardware kit

  • Warp9 V3 rear linkage and triangle

  • Real carbon fibre battery cover, mudguards and fenders

  • 18/21" Race Spec wheelset with red anodized hubs and stainless steel spokes

Cockpit and Ergonomics

Tailoring the tangible elements of the cockpit is important for achieving proper rider comfortability and control. We engineered the 3 main touch points on this bike to suit our customers wants and needs for both performance and aesthetics.

Control Setup

  • Renthal Fatbar 31.8mm handlebars and direct mount stem

  • TRP DHR EVO 4-piston hydraulic brakes

  • Guts Racing seat cover in Black/White

  • PRD Reinforced Peg set with brace

  • Protaper Pillowtop Lite grips

This setup gives total control over the bike’s power and handling, with every touchpoint designed for comfort and precision.

Design

Finished in a combination of matte black and deep red, this build perfectly embodies a thoughtful design language present in our signature Surron builds. The overall aesthetic is complimented by subtle carbon fibre detailing that draws on our brand's premium approach to electric performance.

If there's one thing we do well at Ridepanther, it's design great looking bikes.
